Grepolis

Bright spells, strong gusts from the shop. World closes in spring.

Synopsis

Deep weather. Grepolis starts you with one polis on one island and a choice of god, then grows in two directions at once: outward across the sea, where every island has villages to farm and rivals to watch, and upward through the gods, whose favour buys mythical units and spells that turn fights. The strategic layer is the richest of the five.

Worlds end. Alliances race to build and hold World Wonders, then the server closes and everyone moves on. That gives the forecast a season shape the builders don't have, and it means a newcomer on a fresh world is nobody's easy target for a while. Beginner protection is generous but it won't help if everyone around you is three months in.

The warning is shop pressure. Gold buys advisors, speed and a lot of convenience, and on a competitive world a non-paying player feels it by the second month. Still very playable without spending, and still the most interesting weather on the chart; just pack accordingly.
